Transfer the denunciation to the investigation agency of the Ministry of Public Security

(LDO)- The Insurance Supervision and Administration Department (Ministry of Finance) has transferred the denunciation information of people to the police agency according to its competence.

On February 6, according to a reporter’s source, the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision under the Ministry of Finance said that this agency had transferred people’s denunciations related to saving money at Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank. Gòn (SCB) to the Police Department to investigate crimes related to corruption, economy and smuggling (Ministry of Public Security) according to its competence.

Previously, a number of people filed a complaint with the insurance management and supervision agency regarding the introduction and advice of insurance buying by SCB employees – agents of Manulife Vietnam Co., Ltd.

A letter stating the status of an insurance agent committing fraud or forgery in order to sign an insurance contract and requesting the competent authority to verify and initiate criminal proceedings to investigate, prosecute and adjudicate the individual. individuals or collectives defraud; forcing SCB and Manulife to settle the refund of insurance product buyers.

According to the source, when receiving the letter, the agency performing the insurance management function will classify it and transfer it to other functional agencies for processing and consideration according to its competence.

Previously, a number of press agencies reported that some customers reflected that their savings were not clearly advised by insurance staff. Some customers said that when they went to save money at SCB, the consultant switched to buy Manulife’s Tam An Investment insurance package. After going to claim their savings deposit, they have not received a satisfactory reply.
