Are there Chileans? Latinos who won the NFL Super Bowl

Tom Fears: Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1922, Fears of an American father and a Mexican mother is also considered a Latino NFL champion.

Originally selected by the Eagles in the draft, he eventually made his Major League Soccer debut representing the Los Angeles Rams as a catcher.

Won the 1951 NFL Finals and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 1970.

Ted Hendricks: Another Latino NFL champion with an American father and a Latina mother, in this case from Guatemala. Ted was born in Guatemala City in 1947, However, early on he would move with his family to Miami, where a large part of Hendricks’ youth would reside.

Selected in the 1969 draft by the Baltimore Colts, Hendricks would go on to make an important career in the NFL also playing for the Green Bay Packers (1974) and Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders (1975-1983).

Efren Herrera: Another born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1951. Efrén Herrera lived on Aztec land until he was 15 years old with his family, following which they would all move to California where he would begin a story as an athlete that would lead him to great teams, such as the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills.

He won Super Bowl XII in 1978 with the Dallas Cowboys.

Raul Allegre: Born in Torreón, Mexico, in 1959. Allegre went to the United States as an exchange, there he went from being a footballer to an American footballer and was selected as a free agent in 1983 by the Dallas Cowboys, however, that same year he was transferred to the Baltimore / Indianapolis Colts where he would remain for a couple of seasons until go to New York Giants, ending his career in 1991 with the New York Jets.

In the New York Giants he was part of the Super Bowl XXI and XXV championships.

Martin Grammar: Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1975, Gramática played football at Kansas State University, where he would achieve good performances that earned him selection by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1999.

From there he would begin a long stage in the NFL that would take him to Indianapolis Colts (2004), New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts (2006), Dallas Cowboys (2006-2007) and New Orleans Saints (2007-2008).

He would be crowned NFL champion by winning Super Bowl XXXVII in 2002 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
