Compensation for loss of income in the event of self-employment and compensation for time spent attending meetings and for work rendered will be made according to the scale set by the Board of Directors of Public Health France.

Independence and public declaration of interests

Given the best practices for preventing conflicts of interest in force within Public Health France, the collection of personal remuneration from industrialists within the scope of the committee’s missions and the participation in scientific advisory or strategic advisory activities of these same manufacturers represent a proven conflict of interest incompatible with appointment to the committee.

The members of the Scientific Council, the Ethics and Professional Conduct Committee and the Orientation and Dialogue Committee of Public Health France cannot apply, as well as the members of the expert committees of Public Health France.

In order to prevent conflicts of interest, candidate members undertake, as soon as they send in their application and, if they are selected, for the duration of their mandate, to declare in their DPI any collaboration with companies, establishments , companies or organizations whose activities, techniques or products fall within the scope of the committee’s competence.

Any links of interest, including those held prior to their appointment, are examined by the two institutions on the basis of the public declarations of interest provided by the candidates in response to the call for applications.

Before each meeting, the Public Health France and INCa project team identifies the risks of conflicts of interest of the members with regard to the subjects on the agenda and decides, if necessary, whether it is appropriate to limit or to exclude the participation of some of them. The handling of conflicts of interest is mentioned in the minutes of the meeting.

The declarations of interests of the members of the committee are made public on the DPI SANTE ministerial portal.
