Delayed flights without explanation

Several flights from different airlines were delayed without explanation and without notice Sunday at Montreal’s Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport.

For cruise passengers, these delays might mean a vacation on the water if they miss the boat.

“We were supposed to leave at 8:35 this morning. The flight [d’AirTransat] was delayed to 4:10 p.m. The boat leaves at 7 p.m. We are regarding 35 and we try to talk to Norwegian so that he makes the boat wait until [21h]“, tells Isabelle Mailloux to TVA Nouvelles.

“We wanted to get rid of us fairly quickly, thank you,” adds Diane Faucher, another dissatisfied traveler.

“Recent extreme weather conditions disrupted the start of our operations in Montreal on Sunday morning, but during the day our activities returned to seasonal normal,” Air Canada told TVA Nouvelles.

You should know that the Canadian Passenger Bill of Rights, in effect since September 8, provides for compensation.

It is possible to obtain a reimbursement or financial compensation between $500 and $1,000 per passenger when a flight is delayed by more than three hours.

However, there are some exceptions to this rule.
