Ligue 1: Monaco beat Clermont Foot and Lens tied with Stade Reims

Monaco reaches its 13th victory this season, by defeating Clermont Foot, and a positive draw settles the Lens match with Stade Brest, in the 22nd round of the French Football League.

Monaco defeated its host, Clermont Foot, with two goals to none, today, Sunday, in the 22nd round of the French Football League, “League A”.

The guests opened the scoring early through Guillermo Maripan in the third minute, and 10 minutes later, Brill Embolo scored Monaco’s second goal, to end the match with a score (2-0).

Monaco reached its 13th victory this season, in exchange for 4 defeats and 5 draws, while Clermont Foot failed to win the third match in a row, as it tied in the past two rounds.

Monaco raised its score with this victory to 44 points in fourth place, and Clermont Foot’s balance froze at 30 points in 11th place.

In another match within the same round, a positive tie (1-1) settled Lens’ match with its host, Stade Brest.

Jeremy Lee Duaron opened the scoring for Brest Stadium in the 54th minute, and Jonathan Gradet equalized for Lens in the 83rd minute.
