Until recently, who needed schedule a post no Instagram had to use third-party programs for such a function. Because recently, Meta’s social network released this feature natively, within the app itself.
According to Instagram, it is possible for creators (who have switched to a professional account) to schedule a traditional post, a Reels or a carousel up to 75 days in advance.
Despite being a tool aimed at professionals, nothing prevents you from changing your account type and enjoying it. See how to do it below!
How to change your Instagram account to professional
Open Instagram on iPhone and tap your photo (bottom right corner). Then, go to the button represented by three little lines (in the upper right corner) and select “Settings”.
Tap on “Account” and at the end of the list, choose “Switch to professional account”. Finally, follow the next steps to finish the process.
How to schedule an Instagram post
Open the app and tap the “+” button at the top to choose the media you want to post.
Once you’re on the screen to insert subtitles, add the information you want and, at the bottom, select “Advanced settings” and “Schedule this publication”. Choose the desired date and time and tap “Set Time”.
Once this is done, go back to the previous screen, review the information and select “Program”.
Later, if you want to change the date/time or other information, tap on your profile picture (in the lower right corner) and go to “Scheduled content”. Tap the three dots to show available actions.
If you don’t have any publications scheduled, you can create them from scratch from this section as well. To do so, select “Schedule now”.
