As part of the sanitation day of this Saturday, February 4, 2023, Mayor Alpha Oumar SAKHO and his suite visited several districts of Ratoma, to raise awareness and warn citizens of the passage to the sanction stage, by the health brigade.
The team sensitized the populations of Lambanyi, Wanidara Rails, Sonfonia-gare and all the citizens of Ratoma on the need to subscribe to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The mayor indicates that even if it is possible to oblige people to subscribe at the level of cleaning SMEs, it is first necessary to raise awareness.
“This matter of sanitation is a matter of raising awareness. It’s true we have to force everyone to subscribe to SMEs, but we have to raise awareness to tell people that cleaning is good but not dirtying is better. So we make sure that the population espouses this character of preserving at least its space of existence, everyone has to put the garbage where it should be put. We are in the process of removing but the State cannot continue to spend to remove what households dirty while households can avoid dirtying, ”explains Oumar Sakho.
Then, the first person in charge of the town hall of Ratoma announced to the citizens the installation of a brigade of salubrity to proceed to sanctions once morest those which will refuse to subscribe to the SMEs. “We have already formed a hygiene and sanitation brigade which is on standby. The awareness phase was carried out correctly and this brigade went to almost all the neighborhoods to raise awareness, but in 2023, there, in addition to awareness, we will move on to sanctions, that is inevitable,” reassured Alpha Oumar SAKHO Mayor of Ratoma.
