He did not know how to swim and he jumped into a water hole to save his son: he drowned

A man, a native of the province of Buenos Aires, died this Saturday, February 4, in Siete CajonesSan Luis province following jumping into a water well to save his son who had fallen into the river.

The victim was identified as Juan Carlos Álvez, 58 years old.who was in the place with his wife and son, Juan Ignacio, 27, and his daughter-in-law, according to the information he was able to access The St. Louis Journal.

The four visited the province for the first time, so they went to enjoy the tourist attraction of El Trapiche. However, everything suddenly changed.

The river is surrounded by rocks.

They were touring the area when Juan Ignacio slipped and fell into the water in a sector where the pool began to suck him. The young man despaired and asked for help. Consequently, the father acted instinctively and threw himself without thinking.

The son of the family managed to save himselfbut the father did not have that luck, since he was swept away by the current and, not knowing how to swim, the situation became even more complicated, so dead drowned. The young man was the one who alerted the authorities.

The officers of the 17th El Trapiche Police Station were present at the scene shortly following being notified of the tragedy. Arriving, they found the young man and the mother in a great state of shock at what had happened.

The authorities proceeded with the recovery of the body of Juan Carlos Álvez. For it, the officers had to submerge regarding seven meters.

Once recovered, the body was transferred to the morgue, where the corresponding autopsy will be carried out to advance with the case that is in charge of the Prosecutor’s Office No. 2 in charge of Ricardo Barbeito.
