Residents in Ho Chi Minh City were beaten and hospitalized by their dog owners

Preventing the muzzled dog from approaching his son, the man in the Riverside apartment building was beaten and hospitalized by the dog owner.

On February 4, the police of Phu Thuan ward coordinated with the police of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, to settle the application of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung (who lives in District 7) accused of being assaulted by a person at the Q7 Saigon Riverside apartment building.

In the application, Mr. Dung said that on the evening of 2/2, he led his son to wait for the elevator at the lobby of the apartment building Q7 Saigon Riverside, Phu Thuan ward, district 7. At this time, his dog D.TV (28 years old) did not muzzle, continuously approached his son Dung.

“At that time, I reminded Mr. V. to keep his dog, but this person was indifferent. Fearing that my son would be bitten, I pushed the dog away with my foot. Immediately, Mr. V. hit me hard in the face with his hand, making me dizzy and fell to the ground”, Mr. Dung presented and said that Mr. V also made a threat before leaving.

After being assaulted, Mr. Dung went to the police station of Phu Thuan ward, district 7, reported the incident and then went to Phap Viet Hospital for a checkup. Doctors diagnosed the patient with swelling and bruising in the left cheek area, scratches on the left cheek, a tear in the left eyelid (5 stitches required) and a broken piece of the left lower jaw incisor, a swelling in the left chest.

Two days following the incident, Mr. Dung said the wound was still painful and had to go to the hospital every day to clean the wound.

“I had pain outside my body, but my son saw his father being beaten, so he was very scared and cried. I have submitted a request to assess the injury and prosecute the person who assaulted me in accordance with the law,” Dung said.
