The match between Hai Phong and Binh Duong took place in an unexpected way. At the 75th second of the match, when the audience on Lach Tray field had not yet settled in, the away team Binh Duong opened the scoring.

No. 27 Navy stretched from the left wing, Tien Linh wisely left the ball so that Rimario in the back might comfortably put down his determination to defeat Van Toan, thereby helping Binh Duong take a 1-0 lead once morest his old team.

Conceding a goal very early, Hai Phong was forced to attack to find an equalizer. The home team of Lach Tray Stadium also had many opportunities to finish close to the wall in the first 15 minutes but still might not put the ball into the net of goalkeeper Minh Toan.

Hai Phong plays quite well but still lacks sharpness, especially in decisive moments. In the 34th minute, captain Hai Huy, following coordinating with his teammates, had a shot at the corner but might not beat the opponent’s goalkeeper.

The match was exciting and somewhat tense in the second half. Binh Duong’s goal continuously wobbled. In turn, captain Hai Huy entered the forbidden area, but his final intention was stopped by Trung Hieu. At the corner kick right following, Van Toi had the opportunity to finish at close range, goalkeeper Minh Toan was also helpless but a Hai Phong defender broke the ball before the goal line.

It seemed that the game was over when the Hai Phong defense made a mistake, indirectly “giving” Rimario the second goal in the 78th minute, however, this is the time when Lach Tray Stadium really opened.

In the 84th minute, central defender Dinh Khuong on the Binh Duong side was embarrassed to let the ball touch his hand in the penalty area, causing the home team to be awarded a penalty. On the free kick, Carlos Herrera made no mistake to score to shorten the gap to 1-2.

It seemed that the match would end with a victory for Binh Duong, but in the third minute of injury time, Hai Phong blew up the Lach Tray school bridge when leveling the score. The naturalized player Tran Trung Hieu played very well from the beginning of the game and made a mistake when he was regarding to pass it back to the home team’s goalkeeper, but the ball went too light, allowing Carlos Herrera to steal it and create conditions for Mpande to easily kick the ball.
