On February 3, information from the Ca Mau Provincial Forest Protection Department said that the unit had coordinated with U Minh Ha National Park and the locality to release two Java pangolins belonging to a group of rare animals back to the forest.
On the evening of January 22, while returning home, Mr. Le Hieu Huy (in cluster 4, ward 4, Ca Mau city) discovered two strange animals crawling across the street, so he ran to catch them and bring them home.

Through reference, Mr. Huy learned that these are two rare pangolins that are not allowed to be kept, kept, or traded, so he contacted the authorities to hand them over.
Upon receiving the news, the Ca Mau Provincial FPD directed the specialized unit to receive 2 wild animals. Initially, the expert agency determined that these were 2 Javanese pangolins, in which 1 female weighed 2.5 kg and 1 female individual, male or female unknown.
After receiving and taking care of them, up to now, these two individuals are healthy and eligible to live in the natural environment, so the Ca Mau Provincial FPD brought them back to the forest.
It is known that this is a rare and precious forest animal in Group IB according to Decree No. 06 of the Government that is prioritized for protection and prohibited from exploitation, use, trading and consumption in any form.
