Therefore, often to begin with an idea, or to initiate an early stage of things, like the beginning of the year, for example, let’s make a vow to do good deeds, to think of wholesome thoughts. , so that our ideas guide our behavior and work smoothly. From there towards peace, minimizing suffering. Thus we can understand that “resolution” is a process of practice to sow virtuous dharmas, wholesome thoughts, and virtuous actions, contributing to a wholesome result.
When we sow good thoughts, good deeds, and have those wholesome thoughts, even though what we’ve done, we’ve created an unwholesome “miss”, in cause and condition the path is leading to an end. As a result, it will change. Because, that evil cause is not good enough to develop, will lead to results not like the original, that is, we are “solving” the results of evil karma which will follow the original process.
For example, if we see that it is unwholesome, we will “solve” it by doing good deeds, not creating more evil conditions so that the unwholesome cause has a chance to bear its desired fruit. That is, we have reduced the development of evil unwholesome states.
That is also the way the Buddha “relieves the term”, transforming those unwholesome dharmas as a way of practice, by creating merit and creating good things. And, this aspect represents two aspects of reaching results, to “due” or “maturity”. First, as mentioned above, if we do good deeds, we will not support unwholesome dharmas that lead to suffering. Second, we create good dharmas that we continue to support the development of good dharmas, the coming time will bring peaceful and happy results.
As the Buddha taught, with wholesome thoughts and thoughts that lead to good deeds, the result will always be peaceful; with unwholesome thoughts and actions, will lead to suffering. In the “mistake” of giving rise to evil unwholesome dhammas, unwholesome thoughts, but we still let the natural development of that “cause” arise, the result will certainly be miserable.
And now we need to “solve”, ie release, transform as well as change that result, then we call it “solution”. It means that participating with wholesome thoughts, replacing it with virtuous actions, the result and duration will be changed, or it will bear fruit but be a good fruit, unlike the original fruit of That unwholesome cause, suffering is not worth generating in one’s life.
Regardless of the more investment from the beginning, the results will be more than expected. For example, if we want peace and happiness, we invest more in good ideas and actions… That will reduce suffering and achieve happiness. That is the transformation to bring better results when it comes to maturity, or in other words, “retirement”.
Therefore, in my opinion, there is no need to pray for the release of the term, but to live well to change karma!
