According to reports and in-depth investigations, members of the Special Duty Team of the Yuen Long Police District launched an anti-drug operation code-named “LEVINGTON” (LEVINGTON) in the district yesterday (1st) night, and raided a residence at No. 9 Tin Lung Road, Tin Shui Wai Unit, and regarding 55 grams of suspected cocaine and a batch of drug packaging tools were seized in the unit.
4 men and women were arrested, the youngest was only 17 years old
The total value of the drugs seized in the operation was regarding 50,000 yuan. Two local men and two local women in the unit, aged between 17 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. All those arrested are being detained for investigation. The police reiterated that drug trafficking is a serious crime. According to the “Dangerous Drugs Ordinance” Chapter 134 of the Laws of Hong Kong, once convicted, the maximum penalty is a fine of HK$5 million and life imprisonment. Citizens should not try their best.
