The national director of public health, Luc Boileau, will provide an update Thursday on the evolution of respiratory diseases in Quebec.
He will be accompanied by the president of the Comité sur l’immunisation du Québec (CIQ), Dr. Caroline Quach-Thanh.
Dr. Boileau has not spoken to Quebecers since mid-December when three viruses (RSV, influenza and COVID-19) hit the province hard.
As for COVID-19, Quebec had 582 new cases this Wednesday and 8 deaths in the last few days.
Nearly 1,500 people are hospitalized, including 457 due to COVID.
