The day following his decision to send main battle tanks to Ukraine, Olaf Scholz presented himself as a shrewd strategist. He explained that he did not hesitate and hesitate, as the short-sighted and ignorant opponents of his course repeatedly accused him of. Rather, everything followed a long-term plan that he had agreed with Washington and Paris and the partners in the Berlin coalition in a spirit of trust.
