On January 10, 2000, Swissair bid farewell to the Boeing 747. Nearly 500 people came to Zurich-Kloten for the departure of the aircraft called HB-IGE Geneva. Tears, painted on the plane, bear witness to the emotion aroused by the event.

The last Boeing 747, in its freighter version, has been delivered to the ultimate customer, the cargo carrier Atlas Air.
