Freiburg: Her ex wrote salacious messages impersonating her name
A Fribourgeois has just been sentenced for having connected to the social networks of his former girlfriend. He took the opportunity to send sexual messages.
Passwords are a secret that must be kept. A Fribourgeoise learned it the hard way. When they were still dating, her boyfriend one day came across – by chance, according to him – the young woman’s passwords. The latter had noted them in a small booklet and Mr. saw fit to take a picture of them with his phone. This is how following their breakup the man, now 28 years old, was able to connect as he pleased to the social network accounts of his ex.
Betrayed by his IP addresses
Between September and October 2019, the police counted 385 connections and connection attempts on her ex’s Facebook. The young man was betrayed by the IP addresses of his mobile phones. And, irrefutable proof, many connections were made from Costa Rica, precisely when he was there.
But the usurper was not satisfied with simple connections. By pretending to be his ex-girlfriend, he took the opportunity to talk regarding sex with at least six people, including women. He said, for example, to have new sexual desires, and in particular that of being dominated. He even went so far as to send a man a naked photo of his ex, which the latter had given to him when they were still together.
She filed a complaint
Not wishing to stop on such a good path, the Fribourgeois then allowed himself to delete his ex’s Badoo account, to like 28 photos on his Tinder and to connect to his Snapchat and Instagram accounts. Her little game lasted until the end of October 2019, when the young woman filed a complaint with the police. More than three years following the events, the Public Prosecutor has just sentenced him to a 50-day fine (at 70 francs a day), suspended. In addition, he was fined 700 francs.
