Although there are dozens of applications dedicated to sending and receiving emails, it can be said that many users end up preferring to use Apple’s default app — simply named Mail.

If you are one of these people, know that there is the possibility of changing the name of the email account that appears in the app itself.

In the following paragraphs, see how to proceed!

How to Change Email Account Name on iPhone/iPad

Open Settings and tap Mail. Then go to “Accounts” and select the one you want (like Gmail, as iCloud cannot be renamed).

Then tap on the email address and, in the “Description” field, delete the email address and enter any description you want (like “Work”, for example). Tap “OK” and to make sure the change has been made, force restart the Mail app.

After opening it once more, the new name will be displayed on the screen where your mailboxes are displayed.
