The body of a woman fished out of the Meuse in Amay


The lifeless body of a sexagenarian from Namur was fished out on Tuesday followingnoon in the Meuse in Amay, we learned from the Hesbaye Meuse Condroz rescue zone and the Meuse Hesbaye police zone.

The Meuse firefighters were called to intervene on Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. on the left bank of the Meuse, near the Quai de Lorraine. The body of a woman born in 1958 and domiciled in Namur was discovered there.

The Liège public prosecutor’s office was notified and the intervention of a forensic doctor was required.

The origin of the death of the sexagenarian from Namur remains to be determined.
