(PLO)- Some localities in Ho Chi Minh City rarely receive complaints from people regarding the state of noisy karaoke during the last Lunar New Year.
Tet is a time when people have the opportunity to gather with their families, friends meet and share stories of the year… On this occasion, many families hold parties and some families organize karaoke in the early days. The noisy spring is also inevitable.
However, as noted by PV, in the past Lunar New Year days, the situation of noisy karaoke in some places in Ho Chi Minh City was lower than in previous years.
The problem of singing karaoke has decreased a lot
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, ward 8, Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City, unlike every year, this year’s Tet in her area, the situation of karaoke making noise during Tet is not as much as the days before Tet.
Ms. Dung said that when Tet comes, many people leave Ho Chi Minh City to go home to celebrate Tet, but Tet in the city is also bustling. Tet in previous years and especially the days before Tet, she was always haunted by the tortured karaoke of the neighbors. They sang continuously, from house to house. There are songs that are sung over and over once more, singing without the right rhythm is very annoying.
“However, the special thing of this year’s Tet, I no longer have to endure that torture scene. I don’t know if it’s because the neighbors are more aware or the local government reminds me, but I’m very happy. Hopefully, the situation of noisy karaoke will decrease, so that people can welcome a happy and complete New Year, no more frustration and discomfort because of this problem, “- Ms. Dung said.

Mr. Le Minh Thien, Thanh Xuan ward, district 12, also said that this year his family did not return to his hometown, but celebrated Tet in Ho Chi Minh City. On the days leading up to the New Year, the hostel near his house held parties and sang karaoke, but it was not as noisy as in previous years. On New Year’s Day, there are also some households around who organize singing but sing with moderate volume and they take the initiative to stop singing early.
“I don’t know regarding other places, I see that this year, the situation of noisy karaoke all day and night has decreased a lot. This not only helps people have a quiet rest during the New Year holidays, but also ensures that there are no quarrels and fights just because of the noise when singing karaoke. Not only me, but many people hope this situation will get better and better, “- Mr. Thien said.
Localities rarely receive complaints regarding noisy karaoke
Talking to PV, Mr. Nguyen The Dung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ward 14, Go Vap District, said that regarding the situation of people organizing noisy karaoke on New Year’s Day this year, the ward received only one case. People called to report to switchboard 1022. After receiving information from the switchboard, the ward sent forces down to check.
“On the days leading up to the New Year, people in the area also hold year-end parties, and the ward has also received a few cases of households singing karaoke causing noise affecting other people. When receiving feedback from the people, ward officials came down to analyze and remind people to be more conscious. When dealing with complaints regarding karaoke noise, ward officials will explain to the people. From there, the noise treatment is more effective,” Dung shared.
A representative of Vinh Loc A Commune People’s Committee, Binh Chanh District also said that before Tet, the situation of organizing noisy karaoke had occurred. When receiving complaints from the people, commune officials came down to work, the singer also reduced the volume and did not sing for more than 22 hours.
“Before Tet, the commune cooperated with the district Department of Natural Resources and Environment to measure the noise level from the speaker sound of a household holding karaoke. However, the noise results do not exceed the permissible standards, so there is no penalty. For this case, the commune also organizes work and analyzes for the people to understand that organizing such singing will affect others… People also understand and are more aware of organizing karaoke” – a representative of Vinh Loc A Commune People’s Committee said.
Reflecting karaoke noise through the 1022 . switchboard
Call center 1022 receives and answers information in Ho Chi Minh City on the section reflecting and suggesting urban security and order. Before and following Tet, the switchboard also received some complaints from people regarding noisy karaoke.
Specifically, a resident sent information on January 30, reflected on gate 1022 with the content at an address on Inter-zone 5-6, Binh Hung Hoa B ward, Binh Tan district singing noisy karaoke, photos affect the people around. On the same day, the People’s Committee of Binh Hung Hoa B Ward sent an official response on the portal regarding the fact that the Ward People’s Committee directed the ward police to inspect, remind and handle according to regulations.
Another case, on January 29, people reported to gate 1022 that an address on Lac Long Quan street, Tan Binh district held a karaoke session with very high volume, causing noise and public disorder, photos enjoy the surrounding neighbors to rest.
On January 31, the People’s Committee of Ward 8, Tan Binh District had a response on gate 1022 with the content that the Ward People’s Committee has directed civil servants to coordinate with economic officers and regional police to make a reminder record for households organize singing to make noise. Thereby, this household admitted that the family had a party at the beginning of the year and had a rather loud karaoke. At the same time, this household pledges not to repeat the crime. PV
