In August 2020, the Brussels artist revealed her bisexuality via an Instagram post, which caused a lot of talk at the time. Since then, the singer has become a true icon of the LGBTQ+ community.
In Vogue magazine, Angèle talks regarding her sexual orientation. “The relationship to my sensuality and my sexuality has radically changed”she says, admitting that her schooling – in a relatively strict private establishment – greatly influenced her ideas at the time.
The artist confides that she felt an attraction for girls at 13, which she repressed. “At first, the attraction for girls was something that I repressed, of course. But being bi, it also suited me to be so attracted to guys – because I really like boys as much as girls. It was easier to hide it, well to hide it from me.
Asked regarding his current love situation, the interpreter of Swing your what quickly kicked into touch. “That, I no longer want to answer… because my vision of the couple has changed so much (…) At this point in my life, I no longer perceive it as an essentially exclusive bond.
