It is Monday 30 began the payment of the Basic Basket Contribution o Compensatory Monthly Contribution corresponding to the month of January 2023.
It’s regarding a state benefit that seeks to help families, who meet the legal requirements, to compensate the price hike from Basic Food Basket from one year to the next. This, in line with the Inclusive Recovery Plan “Chile Supports” presented by the Government at the end of April.
Said amount is delivered to the benefit of the causes (for example, children of school age) of Family and Maternal Allowance, Family allowanceas well as those responsible for families that as of August 31, 2022 were users of the “Securities and Opportunities” subsystem or that, on the same date, were participating in the subsystem “Solidarity Chile”.
The payment corresponding to this month is equal to $13.516 for family burden.
It is worth mentioning that the last payment of the Basic Basket Contribution It is set for April this year.since between May and December, it would be replaced by the eventual Electronic Family Pocket.

Check with your RUT if you receive the January payment
The Social Welfare Institute (IPS) set up a website so that people can know if they are or not you would benefit of this contribution. To find out if you receive the January payment you must do the following:
- Enter the site www.aportecanasta.cl.
- Click on “consult”.
- Enter the RUT and date of birth.
- Select “consult”.
The result of the query will tell you if you are a beneficiary, as well as the date and method of payment.
Which is the method of payment?
If the person does not receive regular payments from the Social Welfare Institute (IPS) and has Rut account current, the amount will be deposited to said account.
If the person does not receive regular IPS payments, and does not have a RUT Account, the Contribution will be paid in person.
