From a coach with a modest “CV” when coming to Vietnamese football, Mr. Park left when his influence and image reached the international level. Something that no predecessor has been able to do, and certainly, hardly any coach can do when sitting in the position left by Mr. Park Hang-seo.
So, it is an exaggeration to call Mr. Park a legend. Ask as already answered!
Like there’s never been a breakup!
“It’s not goodbye. It is an appointment to see you in a new way”, many players shared, following losing 0-1 to Thailand in the final second leg of the AFF Cup 2022. It was also the last match in the position. Park Hang-seo’s Vietnam head coach. No one wants to leave the teacher who has been with him for 5 years, even many players call Mr. Park with an intimate address: “Dad – son”.
As for Mr. Park himself, until the last days of his position, he was still dedicated and serious regarding his work. He wants to devote the best, the most quintessential to Vietnamese football, so that his farewell day is complete. Of course, things are not always pleasing to people.
During 5 years of working with Vietnamese football, coach Park Hang-seo has always been welcomed and loved by fans in any situation. In response, Mr. Park also respected that love as he shared: “Many close people advised me to leave when I was at the peak of glory. But during the contract period, how can I leave naturally? My conscience would not allow me to do that. It is an act of disrespect to the Vietnamese people.”
As for Vietnamese football, this is always the house waiting for coach Park Hang-seo to return, as the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) affirmed: “VFF is the house for him. might come back any time, any occasion. He was truly a member of the Vietnamese football family.”
And then, following all, Mr. Park also left, bringing with him many regrets, but at the same time opening a promising new page for Vietnamese football with his successor.
