newspaper saidL’EquipeThe French club, Marseille, is seeking to sign the Iranian star, Sardar Azmoun, the German player, Bayer Leverkusen.
Marseille wants to take advantage of Azmoun’s situation in Leverkusen, where he does not have a main position in the team, whether due to competition or injuries.
However, what makes the task seem difficult for Marseille is that the contract value amounts to regarding 10 million euros, an amount that the French club does not seem willing to pay in the current winter transfer market before it closes.
Azmoun joined Leverkusen last season from Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Note that the other French club, Lyon, was seeking to include Azmoun before joining Leverkusen.
It is noteworthy that Azmoun was in the ranks of the Iranian national team in the 2022 World Cup.
