Wladimir Klitschko called on the IOC to prevent Russia from participating in the Paris Olympics
The former world boxing champion noted that the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Games in Paris will change the Olympic spirit

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) should not allow the participation of Russians in the Olympics, wrote on his Instagram (owned by Meta Platforms, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow recognized the company as extremist and banned its activities) the former WBO heavyweight boxing world champion (2000-2003, 2008-2015) and WBA (2011-2015) Wladimir Klitschko.

IOC January 25 informed regarding the possibility of admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to tournaments following an individual check and on the condition that they were not seen in active support of the military operation in Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared regarding disappointment with the position of the IOC. Head of the National Committee of Ukraine, Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Gutzeit allowed boycott the Paris Olympics, this issue will be considered on February 3. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov told RBC Sport that there is “too much politics” in the wording of the IOC initiatives.
