On January 30, the deputy director in charge of statistics and information of the General Department of Civil Protection of Algeria, Colonel Farouk Achour, said that the agency had recorded a total of 54 deaths from asphyxiation. carbon monoxide (CO) this month only.

Speaking on National Radio, Colonel Achour stated that the above deaths were all related to the use of drugs. heating equipment and water heater in winter.
