A 12-year-old girl who was missing for 6 days in Viña del Mar appears: her mother took her to the sub-station | National

After six days missing, this Monday the girl who had been missing for almost a week in Viña del Mar appeared. She arrived with her mother at the Carabineros sub-commission to file the complaint.

A 12-year-old girl was missing for six days when she left her home at dawn on January 24 in Viña del Mar, in the Valparaíso region.

The teenager was seen by various sectors of the commune together with a woman, with whom she would have been for the last week.

According to police information, the minor left at regarding 04:45 a.m. from her home in the upper part of the garden city, as recorded on the surveillance cameras installed between the Mirador de Reñaca and San Julia.

Along the same lines, the captain, Claudio Silva, deputy commissioner of the Gómez Carreño Sub-commissioner, in conversation with Radio Bío Bío de Valparaíso, confirmed that the minor arrived accompanied by her mother to the police station in Reñaca, to give notice of her finding.

“Finally, it appeared at dawn today, where the mother appears with the missing daughter (…) she did not have any injuries,” the deputy commissioner emphasized.

According to procedures carried out by police personnel, it was seen in various sectors of the commune, together with a woman with which he would have been during these days.

With this background, the psychologist, Carolina Silva, was asked why these types of cases are recorded, to which she replied that they can occur due to abuse and violation of the rights of the family group or also due to friendships with adults who manipulate and seek a personal benefit to the detriment of the minor. Which does not mean that this is the case.

“In the case of girls, sometimes, the women, let’s say older, who have been friends of the family, who have been neighbors or whatever, who have observed that girls or boys are in a situation of high level of danger and never child abuse or a type of violence within the family has been reported (…), they can, let’s say, remove them from that family group, but sometimes they do it in a very bad way”indicated the psychologist.

Finally, the police personnel will carry out the pertinent investigations to clarify the motives of the minor for fleeing her home, in addition to confirming the identity of the woman with whom she would have been during the days she was missing.
