Among the dead trees, there are newly planted trees, there are trees that show signs of dying from a few years ago. The temporary planting area is overgrown with plants and trees, with no signs of regular care. There are large trees, 40-60 cm in diameter.
Many people believe that this is the “tree cemetery” of Pleiku city. For many years now, these trees have been moved from the widened and upgraded roads of Pleiku City to be temporarily planted here.

Explaining the above situation, Mr. Dang Toan Thang, Vice Chairman of Pleiku City People’s Committee, said that from 2020 to 2022, during the construction and expansion of Ly Thai To, Le Dai Hanh, Quyet Tien, Pleiku city moved many trees to plant at Tra Da commune cemetery. During the relocation process, some trees died, mainly pine and oil trees.
According to Mr. Thang, the cause of the tree’s death was due to the fact that when the tree was relocated, the tree had grown, the roots had grown strongly, was affected, requiring the progress of projects to be relocated quickly.
To overcome the above situation, the City People’s Committee directed the Urban Management Department and specialized agencies to research and come up with the best relocation method. At the same time, it is required that the investors, agencies and related units strengthen the care work for the trees to grow well.
