Currently, 5 component projects in the Ha Tinh-Quang Tri section are divided into 9 construction and installation bidding packages. In which, 8/9 bidding packages have signed construction and installation contracts, the remaining 1 bidding package belongs to Vung Ang-Bung project, which is expected to be signed on February 6, 2023 due to the completion of fire prevention appraisal and approval. fire fighting tunnel works on the route.
With contracts signed, leaders of the Ministry of Transport said that contractors are planning to deploy, organize surveys, design construction drawings, and mobilize personnel and machinery. , equipment, construction of camps, completion of mining procedures…. For materials for project construction, the leader of the Ministry of Transport said that according to calculations, the total demand for common construction materials in 5 component projects in the Ha Tinh-Quang Tri section includes 7.2. million m3 of stone; 3.2 million m3 of sand and 13.65 million m3 of backfill soil.
It is expected that the projects will use 33 quarries with reserves of more than 43 million m3; 41 sand mine with reserves of more than 11 million m3; 21 land mines with reserves of regarding 23 million m3.

On this basis, the Ministry of Transport proposes that the Government consult with the People’s Committees of the provinces to direct local departments and agencies to coordinate with project investors and construction contractors to review to increase the capacity of the sand mines being exploited to be used for the project, to meet the demand and construction progress.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to issue documents to guide localities on the order and procedures related to mining of construction material mines, plans for compensation for site clearance. to carry out land acquisition for mineral mines exploited for the project.
