Test opening of the FDJ French Cup 2023la 45th edition of Marseille La Marseillaise Cycling Grand Prix will, as usual, launch the cycling season on tricolor soil. This Sunday, January 29, v20 teams, including six World Tour teams, will be at the start of an event on steep roads between Septemes-les-Vallons et Marseille (167.8 kilometers). Difficult to know the scenario as the race promises to be very open like the previous editions. But one thing is certain: it will be a fit man who raises his arms near the stadium of theOlympic Marseillel’Orange Velodrome. Winner last year Amaury Capiot (Team Arkéa-Samsic), injured, had to give up defending his trophy.

Who to succeed Amaury Capiot this Sunday?
To succeed the Belgian sprinter, several names stand out, starting with Benoit Cosnefroy (AG2R Citroën Team). Winner of the event in 2020, the former U23 world champion is clearly one of the contenders for victory. On his side, Arnaud DeLie (Lotto-Dstny) will be formidable in the event of a massive sprint despite the presence of a Luca Mozzato who will debut with Arkea-Samsic. Benjamin Thomas (Courtesy), Mathieu Burgaudeau, Sandy Dujardin, Alexis Vuillermoz (Team TotalEnergies), Oliver Naesen (AG2R Citroen Team), Jake Stewart, Lenny Martinez (Groupama-FDJ), Brent Van Moer (Lotto-Dstny), Clement Champoussin (Team Arkéa-Samsic), Axel Laurance (Alpecin-Deceuninck)… so many of them are claiming victory in Marseille!
