Representative Lee, who attended the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office as a suspect at around 10:30 am yesterday (28th), met with reporters following completing the investigation at around 11:00 pm and said, “I feel like I am doing politics, not investigation, like a prosecutor under the dictatorship of Prosecutor Yoon Seok-yeol. I heard,” he said.
“I can’t erase the feeling that the prosecution is manipulating for the purpose of prosecution,” he emphasized.
As Representative Lee refused to investigate late at night, the suspect’s newspaper ended at 9:00 pm, and the prosecution requested a second appearance, saying that additional investigation was needed.
Lee’s representative protested that the prosecution intentionally delayed the investigation by repeatedly asking questions and presenting data to request additional attendance.
Previously, CEO Lee appeared yesterday (28th) around 10:30 am to receive an investigation by the prosecution regarding charges of breach of trust and violation of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act.
It is said that the prosecution prepared more than 100 questionnaires and strongly questioned Lee for related charges.
Representative Lee, who denies all charges, said that he would replace it with a statement as in the previous investigation into the suspicion of ‘Sungnam FC donation’, preparing a 33-page written statement and practically exercising his right to remain silent.
