Miss Hoang Huong Ly: “The crown helps many girls earn ten times more”
How has the year 2022 of Miss Tourism Nationals 2021 Hoang Huong Ly passed? What are the most memorable milestones and events for you?
– It was a successful year for me when I completed almost all of the 10 goals I set out in early 2022. My most memorable memory is during my time in office with Miss Tourism International in Malaysia. Traveling with other countries, meeting Misses and my speech also left a good impression in the first exchange with international friends following winning the crown.

Is there anything Huong Ly has not done or regretted in the past year, especially when Huong Ly’s term ends?
– There is one thing that I see not only me, but we are all the same. That’s when at the end of the year, when you look back at yourself, you see the plans that are still waiting to be followed and can’t be fulfilled, the dreams, the ambitions, the unfinished work.
And I have prepared to enter a new year with many new things waiting for me ahead.
1 year 365 days is not enough to do everything. Whether it’s completed or not, I think what’s important is the feeling of peace in our mind. So I see no regrets.
Many people think: “Miss Miss to change your life”; “The easiest way to become an A-list star is to become Miss”. What is your opinion? Perhaps Huong Ly was very rich following the coronation?
– I have just agreed, but there are a few things that I feel do not fully support this point of view.
Specifically, I agree in that: Firstly, the crown helps many girls to be crowned Miss following 1 night to become A-list stars. From the average salary to life, participating in promotional events and earning income enter ten times.
Secondly, the crown helps girls get more attention and helps social, business and career activities easily be promoted.
What I disagree with is because: Firstly, to get the results worthy of receiving the crown, the girls have to put in a lot of effort and practice, the preparation time is quite long, maybe a few months and sometimes a few months. This is a journey full of efforts, hard work, not as easy as what you see only in the finale.
Second, not every Miss will become an A-list star. The Miss contest will “have this and that”, the same goes for talent. To become an A-list star and maintain that position is the process of the girl who was crowned Miss and the whole support team.
Personally, before I became Miss, I was already rich… It was rich in love (laugh).

Miss Hoang Huong Ly: “More than 20 Miss in 1 year is not much”
When Vietnam has more than 20 beauty contests taking place in 2022, Huong Ly thinks whether to be sad or happy when the past year is said to be the year of “hundred flowers blooming”; “Miss inflation” by 1 night, 2 beauties were crowned in 2 domestic beauty contests…?
– From a general perspective, in 2022, there are more Miss pageants held than in the history of beauty contests in previous years. I feel happy instead of sad because following the pandemic, this is also one of the measures to help stimulate economic demand and tourism in the provinces of Vietnam. I think, compared to the population of nearly 100 million people in Vietnam, more than 20 Misses in a year is not much.
And it is worth noting that I think it is necessary to strictly manage the Miss contests to have a stature commensurate with the national and provincial levels from the stage of organization, the quality of the contestants, the Organizing Committee of entertainment and volunteering activities…
Contests need to have authentic activities, instead of unclear target slogans and need to avoid personal profiteers on Miss social competitions in order for the contest to be greener, cleaner and more beautiful.

Meanwhile, this year’s achievements in the international beauty arena are said to be “sad” than last year. What is Huong Ly’s opinion?
– Perhaps, all the representatives of Vietnam when participating in a contest want to have high achievements for the homeland. And that is also the desire of all beauty fans in Vietnam. I think maybe you guys are missing a bit of luck.
However, we also have to look back and draw lessons to prepare the representatives of Vietnam to participate in international beauty contests with careful and methodical investment. The most important thing is to select representatives who are close to the competition criteria along with the training of skills, talents and a good spirit for the representatives before entering the international arena.

Hoang Huong Ly continues to extend the series of achievements of beautiful people honored on the international beauty map. She participated in Miss Tourism International 2021 (Miss Tourism International) and was crowned Miss Tourism Countries in this beauty arena.
Despite the tight competition time, the beauty still proved her ability, trying to properly perform the contests: prom, bikini, traditional costume… in the form of Miss Online because Covid-19 pandemic is complicated. Previously, the beauty born in 1996 was in the Top 5 of Miss Vietnam Sea 2016 and won the contestant with the best body award.
