Mercato: Bamba Dieng leaves Marseille for Lorient (Official)

Bamba Dieng has signed up with FC Lorient. The transfer should be around 10M€, bonus included. The Senegalese international was presented to the public at Moustoir on the sidelines of the meeting between Les Merlus and Stade Rennais.

After several days of intense negotiations, Bamba Dieng leaves Marseille for Lorient. The Senegalese joins the Hakes for a total amount of 7 million euros (and 3 million bonuses). This is the biggest purchase recorded by FC Lorient, informs Footmarseille.

The transfer between the Olympians and the Merlus has finally been completed. After the failure Terem Moffi, Marseille has completed negotiations with FC Lorient and is sending its Senegalese striker to Brittany. The transaction amounts to an amount of 10 million euros.

Regarding the details of the operation, OM will receive 7 million euros, to which is added a possible bonus of 3 million euros. Bamba Dieng is the most expensive player in Hake history. He is ahead of Adrian Grbic, bought for 9 million in 2020, but also Terem Moffi, who arrived in Lorient for 8 million euros that same year. Bamba Dieng arrived in October 2020 from Diambars FC.

Loaned, he had scored in the Coupe de France once morest Auxerre and had managed to convince the leaders to buy him for a minimal sum of 400,000 euros. OM therefore made a great gain, but lost a player with great potential aged only 22. Author of 11 goals in total, he left Marseille following having played 54 games there in just over 2 years.
