Banks race with incentives at the beginning of the year, where is the ‘best’ savings?

After the Lunar New Year, many people are eager to find out and choose where to save their Tet bonus. Families with young children are also interested in opening a book to keep their children’s lucky money. Phuong Ha (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi) said that families often save money at the beginning of the year, because this is the occasion with many promotions. With an amount of regarding 200 million dong, Ms. Ha is considering a 12-month deposit and is being paid more than 9% interest at a private bank.

Surveying the interest rate tables of banks at the beginning of the new year, the highest savings interest rates were recorded around 9.5 – 10%/year. In which, the interest rate of Quoc Dan Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) is the highest, at 9.9%/year for deposits from 13 months to 60 months, applying An Phu online savings program.

Many banks have the highest savings interest rates up to 9.5%/year, such as: Kienlongbank, HDBank, Techcombank, DongA Bank, BacABank, etc. In the Big4 group (4 state-owned banks including VietcomBank, VietinBank, BIDV, etc.) and Agribank), the highest savings interest rate recorded is 7.4%/year.

While deposit interest rates remained stable compared to before Tet, promotional programs at banks were very diverse.
