On the local mountain of the Mondsee

The Mondseeberg is a popular local mountain, and not only for its direct neighbors. The recurring view of the lake, the here and there untouched winter landscape and a moderate hiking time of around three hours make the snowshoe tour so popular here. You start the hike behind the basilica in the Schiessstattgasse before you follow the markings for the former Hochalm hiking trail number 3 and turn off at the Hauberg towards Radstatt onto hiking trail number 2. The Radstatt Chapel is a pretty sight to behold, the way back is via hiking trail number 5 through the Gosauergraben and back to the starting point.
