Belgium probably wants Joachim Löw as national coach

The EURO 2021 was the last big tournament of the German national team with Joachim Löw.

Like the Belgian newspaper The newspapaer has now reported, Löw and Flick might possibly face each other at the home European Championship 2024 in 18 months.

According to the report, Löw is one of three names on the KBVB (Royal Belgian Football Association) shortlist. However, Harun Arslan, adviser to the former national coach, firmly dismissed: “There is nothing to it,” he said regarding the rumors in the sports picture. In addition to Löw, Mauricio Pochettino (formerly Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain) and Andre Villas-Boas (formerly FC Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Olympique Marseille) are also traded.

At the EM 2021 and 2016 it was already over for Kevin De Bruyne and Co. in the quarterfinals. At the 2014 World Cup, Belgium also failed in the quarter-finals, in Qatar already in the group phase.

The last partial success of the Belgian national team was third place at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
