Mont-Dore: soon an impact study of delinquency in Saint-Louis?

Are the regular blockages and stones around Saint-Louis responsible for the flight of businesses from Mont-Dore Sud? What regarding a drop in real estate prices?

If many inhabitants of the south of the commune are convinced of this, no study today makes it possible to answer these questions precisely. The members of the Citoyen mondorien association intend to remedy this. Friday morning, they gathered the press in front of the gendarmerie of Saint-Michel to unveil their new ambition: to carry out a “impact study to know the consequences of abuses in Saint-Louis“, presents the president of the association, Florent Perrin.

A study of 2.4 million

The gendarmerie has put in place all the means at its disposal, the locks have ensured security elsewhere in the town but we still have a black point: the crossing of Saint-Louis.” “Not fatalistic“, the members of the office of the association want to take the next step with this survey project. A way also to “consider the victims“, according to its president, while the study will devote a large place to interviews with victims.

It now remains to raise the funds to launch an investigation estimated at “CHF 2.4 million“. If the southern province and the city of Mont-Dore should participate to the tune of 1.4 million, Citoyen mondorien was refused by the high commissioner.”We will turn to local businesses to finance the remaining million“, points out Florent Perrin.

The association hopes that the research firm will begin work in “March April“, for a period of approximately six months. The investigation should lead to the establishment “of a working group“with the various institutions concerned. At the same time, Citoyen mondorien is still campaigning for the construction of a viaduct to bypass the RP1, a solution to open up the region envisaged by the South Province.”The next step will be the geotechnical studies and the analysis of the anchor points of the future bridge.
