Protestsongcontest 2023: Die Songs im Finale

The preliminary jury has spoken and determined nine final songs – now it’s your turn: Who gets the wildcard?!

Von Michael Fiedler

For the semi-finals of the 2023 protest song contest, we invited you to the summit meeting in the FM4 Soundpark studio. Also present as an expert jury was the entire podium of the Protestsongcontests 2022: Winner EZRA and the two runners-up Wendi Gessner aka turning point and David Hebenstreit aka Sir Tralala. Together with the inventor of the somewhat different song competition, Gerald Stocker, they have the 25 best protest songs of the year 2023 and finally made the difficult decision: Who should go to the final?

With a merciless point system, 9 songs from the final list might be identified within a few minutes. The winged sentence of the evening comes from Sir Tralala: “The song is also one of my favorites!” He only has favourites.

The Top 9

Here are the top 9 in the order in which we received them:

That was not all!

The three jurors were very unhappy sitting in the tea kitchen following the vote, as they would all have seen 5 or 6 more songs in the final.

But one thing is still possible. IZRAA, Wendi Gessner and Sir Tralala have each nominated another song – and you decide who gets this wild card:

Lenny420 feat. Benjo – “Profit”
IZRAA follows her heart and chooses hip hop.

From now until 5 p.m. on Friday, January 27th, you have time to decide: Which of these three songs should make it into the final of the protest song contest?

With SMS confirmation!
