Ari Van Assche, full professor in the Department of International Business, was chosen by the executive committee of the Academy of International Business (AIB) to become the next editor of the Journal of International Business Policyone of the publications of theAIB.
Professor Van Assche will succeed Sarianna Lundan, founding editor-in-chief of this scientific journal. Ari Van Assche has previously acted as deputy editor. He will officially take office on 1is January 2024.
The JIBP exists since 2016. It is the most important publication of theoretical and empirical research in all areas of policy related to international trade. In less than 10 years of existence, it has risen to the rank of the most influential and relevant academic journals of international affairs.

In addition to his duties at HEC Montreal as well as JIBPAri Van Assche is also Director of the International Institute of Economic Diplomacy, Fellow in Residence at the CD Howe Institute, as well as Researcher and Fellow at the Center interuniversitaire de recherche en analyze des organizations (CIRANO).
Since obtaining the Alan Rugman Visiting Scholar Fellowship, he has also been a visiting scholar at the University of Reading, UK. He is also called upon as a consultant in several international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank, theOECD and the World Bank.
