A new casualty in the Cabinet of . Sandra Belaunde Arnillas resigned as Minister of Production, sources from El Comercio confirmed. The reasons for her departure are not yet known.

From the Presidency of the Council of Ministers they confirmed to El Comercio that the Prime Minister, Alberto Otárola, accepted the resignation of Belaunde.

They also pointed out that Otárola thanked him for “the commitment and professionalism performed”, especially “at this juncture” of crisis.

Other sources pointed out that it is likely that current Vice Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, succeeds Belaunde at the helm of Produce.
