On the night of this Wednesday, the Court of Guarantee of well almonte decreed preventive detention for the 18 Venezuelans formalized by the Tarapacá Prosecutor’s Office for drug trafficking, one of them also for illegal possession of weapons.
This was announced following the formalization hearing that was held in this court throughout the day in a private and telematic manner, with some defendants in the area and others outside the region.
Let us remember that they were detained in recent days by simultaneous operations by the Investigative Police in various regions of the country, both in the Valparaíso region, the Metropolitan region, Antofagasta and Tarapacá.

Preventive detention was ordered for the duration of the investigation, which was set at 180 days by the court.
It is worth mentioning that four of the defendants, including three women, will be detained in prisons in the Metropolitan region, while the rest will be held in the Tarapacá region, in the Alto Hospicio prison.
Finally, this was the resolution following the completion of this formalization hearing of more than six hours, where preventive detention was decreed for these 18 people belonging to one of the cells of the Tren de Aragua.
