“Today the absence of the Previaje is noticing. There was a refund of money that was favorable for the tourist and for the private part, because people might travel, eat, go on excursions. That is why what we ask is that it become law.
This is how Walter Sequeira (who chairs the Federation of Business Entities of Río Negro -FEERN- and is the head of the Las Grutas Chamber of Commerce) depicted the importance of the program created by Nación. He did it in dialogue with Who Said Summer, by RÍO NEGRO RADIO, where he announced that the entity will work to promote an initiative for which they are already claiming at the country level.
“On February 8 we will meet in Buenos Aires with the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME), which supports this project at the national level. Work is already being done together with the National Ministry of Tourism on this possibility. In March there will be another meeting in Chaco” said the provider.
“Although the tool already has its edition 4, it is not yet in force. And although it is thought of in the low season to implement it, destinations such as Las Grutas, sun and sand, also benefit. Why the tourist spends in high season the amount that he collected as a return when traveling in the low season” pointed out the merchant.
He also detailed the difficult situation that the country’s tourist destinations are going through. “Everybody the places (for vacations) today are at 80%, with 20% less public than last year. Only on Saturdays they reach 95% occupancy. And since the traveler knows this reality, everyone haggles over prices, both in accommodation and gastronomy. There is a lot of need ”he stressed.
“The only ones that are earning money, and for a long time, are the banks, because everyone is looking to finance with a card. And without Previaje and with the very high price of fuel, we will continue to be complicated,” Sequeira lamented.
