Ronaldo makes successful official debut with al-Nassr

In an overexcited atmosphere, with 22,862 fans white-hot for the premiere of their new idol, Cristiano Ronaldo struggled on all fronts of the attack, multiplying the calls, to score, in vain.

A few days following his double once morest PSG in the friendly match (5-4 defeat), the Portuguese star propelled captain however weighed on the meeting.

The locals opened the scoring following collective action. A center from al-Sulaiheem who lobbed CR7, but the Brazilian Anderson Talisca, better placed behind him, catapulted the ball into the back of the net (31st).

Five minutes later, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner tried his luck with a well-placed free kick, but his shot didn’t find the target.

Then, his center back for Gonzalo Martinez almost proved decisive, but the heavy strike from the Argentinian playmaker of al-Nassr was opportunely slammed for a corner by the opposing goalkeeper (57th).

His best chance of the match will undoubtedly have been this hook which put al-Mowalad on the buttocks before his shot in force which Victor, the goalkeeper of al-Ittifaq, repelled (78th).

“He is one of the best players in the history of football, so it is very important for us to do everything possible to put him in the best conditions,” said the French coach of al-Nassr, Rudi Garcia, following the match.

“I want him to be happy playing and tonight he was happy to play for the first time with his new team,” he added.

Sign that the public has adopted it, this sign brandished in a tribune of Mrsool park proclaiming: “I wish you the best, but you are already the best (I wish you the best, but you are already the best). »

Thanks to this success, Rudi Garcia’s team climbed to the top of the championship with 33 points ahead of their rival al-Hillal, whom they now lead by one length. As for al-Ittifaq, trained by another French technician, Patrice Carteron, he remains glued to 10th place in the standings.
