Fisherman Le Van Luc, owner of the fishing boat QNg-44071-TS confessed that two years ago because of the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of people participating in the fishing ceremony was limited, this year 2023 is the most spectacular ceremony. So far, with 19 fishing vessels participating in the launching ceremony.
Opening the boat at the beginning of the year, the fishermen prayed for a year of favorable rain and wind, and the ships that went out to sea were full of fish and shrimp. Mr. Do Tam Hien – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Duc Pho town shared, In 2023, Pho Thanh ward strives to exploit over 45,000 tons of seafood of all kinds.
In 2022, the price of gasoline increased many times, along with that, the amount of seafood in the fishing grounds of the fishermen in Duc Pho town decreased, leading to many difficulties in the life of the fishermen.
Therefore, along with the State’s policies to support fishermen, in the coming time the district will propose to banks to create favorable conditions for fishermen to borrow capital to reach the sea.
Mr. Hien further shared that the fishery launch ceremony in 2023 was carefully prepared, showing the determination to reach out to sea, develop the economy, and protect the sea and islands of the fishermen’s homeland.
