– Actor Anh Tuan: No! We have never been apart during the Lunar New Year for some reason. Because my family has many children, I always arrange for this occasion to bring the whole family together.
Actress Nguyet Hang: Maybe on New Year’s Eve, Tuan will go abroad to visit his family. The traditional Tet holiday cannot be without each other.
The couple’s life also has many events, ups and downs and they have also shared in the press. So is there any Tet associated with sad memories that you don’t want to remember?
– Actor Anh Tuan: I think it’s Tet in 2021, when the epidemic is very stressful. All businesses and restaurants are in trouble because they are forced to close. And of course, my crab soup restaurant is not out of the influence of the epidemic. Before Tet, I gritted my teeth and asked my wife’s permission to sell the car to maintain the restaurant. It was also a very difficult year.

Facing difficulties and having to sell cars to feed the restaurant during the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic, is Nguyet Hang sad and worried a lot?
– Actress Nguyet Hang: I’m not sad and I’m not worried. Because Mr. Tuan has also failed in business many times before, but the couple still agree and overcome. I completely trust my husband’s business skills. Sell the car to take care of the restaurant through the difficult time and then move on. Fortunately, both my husband and Mr. Vinh Xuong have also supported the restaurant through the epidemic to continue to develop as it is now.

A family celebrating Tet is very simple, light and modern like Anh Tuan – Nguyet Hang, right Traditional Tet is no longer an important occasion in your family?
– Actor Anh Tuan: Our family still celebrates Tet, Tet is still a sacred occasion for us. It’s just that we celebrate Tet no longer “traditional” but towards a more modern way of celebrating Tet, suitable to the needs of life.

Celebrating the traditional New Year in my opinion is to gather around, pack Chung cakes, cook meals to welcome friends and relatives to visit home. But in the last two years, our family will also take advantage of the Tet holiday to travel across Vietnam.
On the 1st day of the Lunar New Year, we still make rice, burn incense to worship the ancestors, and meet and gather with relatives according to tradition. It is a mission not to be missed. On the 2nd of Tet, the whole family went on a trip together. My family, actor Hong Dang’s family and some friends drove the whole family across the country.

In the past two years, the family of Anh Tuan – Nguyet Hang have discovered which areas on the map of Vietnam?
– Actress Nguyet Hang: We have almost gone to all provinces. Our country is very beautiful and culturally diverse. If you go along the country with a family car, you will never go to all the places even if you go to 20 Tet holidays. Every year, Mr. Tuan lets his family rest in a province to enjoy and explore.
So, how long did your husband and wife’s longest trip across Vietnam last?
– Actor Anh Tuan: I remember the trip right at the time of the Covid-19 epidemic, which was the longest trip, regarding 1 and a half months. In the following years, I expect the trip across Vietnam will be regarding 20-25 days. The Lunar New Year is a time for me to rest, a time for myself and my family to be more motivated for a new year of working effectively.
Actress Nguyet Hang: We work as actors, and we have to live with the lives of so many characters for a year. Therefore, I always want Tet to be my own. I can live as myself, with my small family, so happy and meaningful.
Who did the idea of traveling through Vietnam on this Tet holiday come from?
– Actor Anh Tuan: The idea of the trip comes from my personal favorite. After a year of traveling with my family, I gave this idea to my friends and formed a group to go together during Tet. I remember that year we had a memorable trip, we stopped in Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc.

Is it because the eldest daughter is married, so the parents are more relaxed to travel and enjoy life?
– Actress Nguyet Hang: Not really. It’s just that now we can do the good things for the family that we’ve both wanted for so long. Even if Hang Vy is not married, our family will still pack our bags and go like now.
May I ask the actor Anh Tuan personally, how do you feel in the first year of celebrating Tet as a father-in-law?
– Actor Anh Tuan: Honestly, I don’t feel like I have a son-in-law! (laugh). Because the children are far away, sometimes we can only see them once every two years or we can visit them. Last year, the whole family also came to play. The first Tet with a son-in-law is no different from the previous Tet.
With such a large family, the personality of the children of Anh Tuan – Nguyet Hang must also have many differences?
– Actress Nguyet Hang: Four children, one each. Hang Vy, the eldest daughter, is very mature, understanding and takes care of everything. Vy knows how to see everything, she is independent from a young age. The second girl has a different personality, she is carefree, in contrast to her eldest sister, so she has a very light life. The third boy is still young, his lifestyle and personality have not been fully revealed. As for the youngest child, he is still young, so he needs the most love and protection from his parents.

So of the 4 children of Nguyet Hang – Anh Tuan’s family, the third youngest is the age of the Rabbit. So, do you have any similar personality traits with this zodiac sign?
– Actress Nguyet Hang: The only boy in the family is 3, born in 2011. It is said that the year of the Rabbit is agile, nimble, and resourceful. But my uncle is almost the opposite, very gentle personality, a bit shy and very… loves to sleep (laughs).
In the New Year of the Rabbit 2023, do you have great hopes for your family life and acting career?
Actor Anh Tuan: I am a person who always lets everything run naturally. What’s good to me, I accept, what’s bad, I’m ready to face. Life sometimes doesn’t work the way I expect and want. The only thing I hope for is the health of the whole family. That’s it.
Actress Nguyet Hang: I hope that the year of the Rabbit will be a very lucky year for everyone. Hopefully in the new year of 2023, Vietnamese films will have many prosperity, every project will receive the same love from the audience as the past time.
