Fire breaks out at a Target store in Atlanta. Buyers are evacuated

ATLANTA, Ga. (Telemundo Atlanta) – A fire at the Buckhead Target forced the evacuation of the store Monday followingnoon.

According to the Atlanta Fire Department report, shortly following 5 p.m., a team of emergency personnel was dispatched to 2500 Piedmont Road NE following a report of a fire. Firefighters detected the flames near the mattress section located on the lower level of the two-story structure.

By 5:39 p.m., the fire was completely out, fire officials said.

Emergency services assessed the condition of three store employees for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
