“Hassani” added, in statements to Masrawy, that the initiative will include a part related to awareness, examination and treatment followingwards, through questionnaires for citizens, continuing: “For example, it is distributed in universities and private hospitals of the Ministry of Health and mental health hospitals, and it consists of psychological questions according to certain rules and following Finally, the results of the questionnaires are analyzed and evaluated.
He pointed out that the aim of the initiative is to raise awareness of mental illnesses that affect people’s lives and to direct those in need to receive service in hospitals.
In turn, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said that an initiative that includes examination and treatment of 4 tumors, namely: lung, prostate, colon and cervical tumors, will be launched in the coming weeks and will start in 9 governorates: (Assiut, Fayoum, Beheira, Red Sea, South Sinai, Port Said, Alexandria and Qalyubia). ) as a first stage, then the rest of the provinces.
He pointed out that there are 3 to 4 million targets for screening for prostate cancer, and the same number for lung cancer, and all initiatives that are launched are subject to an economic evaluation before and following starting them, and the results concluded that early detection of diseases through initiatives has a great economic feasibility. .
