Good news goes far, bad news goes far
– Dear People’s Artist Trong TrinhWhy is social media becoming more and more important, especially for artists and entertainers?
– Not only for people who are active in entertainment, but I think social networks are important to everyone, especially in the current digital age. This is one of the effective communication channels, a means to position your personal brand.
I also use it myself because many times it is a means of communication.

– Bringing many benefits, but many people think that using social networks is like a double-edged sword, what do you think regarding this issue?
– It is true that social networks are like a double-edged sword. The ancients used to say that “a good word spreads far, a bad reputation goes far”. We can use it to build an image, but if it doesn’t spread positivity, it bounces back the same way.
If you do not know how to protect and build your personal brand seriously, you will quickly lose your image because the spread of social networks is very strong. Therefore, be positive and spread good things.
Not everyone who works in the entertainment industry… is also an artist
– Not less artists use social networks to blaspheme, curse, expose each other, from a cultural point of view, what do you think regarding this phenomenon?
– First of all, it must be clear that not everyone working in the entertainment industry is also an artist. An artist is a person who is trained in both character and profession, recognized by the public and people in the world.
And some people are active in entertainment, they attract attention in one way or another, not in a sustainable profession.
On social media there are many different components, anyone can go online, but not everyone is perfect. Many people do whatever it takes to attract attention, but it only attracts for a while, and then it fades into oblivion.
It is important for each person to choose for themselves the right way of doing, thinking, and direction.
– The Ministry of Culture has issued a code of conduct for people operating in the field of art, a code of conduct on social networks.
– Not only the Ministry of Culture but also need many units to join hands such as the Ministry of Public Security, Department of Cybersecurity. Especially with the current high digital technology era, the use of social networks is very complicated and requires strict management. The most important thing is still the user’s consciousness and culture.

Artists are entangled in noise… the public loses faith
– Recently, many artists have used social networks to advertise drugs of unknown origin, inflate their effectiveness, PR virtual money… what do you think?
– Each artist when they also ask the brand to show the documents related to the product. However, sometimes they check carelessly or not closely, so the disaster flies, the family is unfair because of fake papers. However, too much is also not recommended.
As for virtual currency, spreading superstition is to blame. The act of aiding fraud deserves criticism and those people must be held accountable for what they have done.
Every time artists get into such noise, they themselves are affected, making the public distrust.
– Sometimes artists become victims, are slandered to smear their image, or are spread false news, even maliciously rumored to die. What do you think regarding this?
– With this person or that person, it is difficult to avoid the spread of false information. Because of that, a stricter legal framework is needed to prevent this situation from happening once more.
Many people who posted false news regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation have been punished. The same goes for slandering and defaming the image of others on social networks. Freedom of speech, but not offending others, blasphemy must also pay a price.
Sometimes, some individuals intentionally cause scandals to attract attention. In 1989, following I filmed the movie “Hunting and Robbing”, someone said that I had escaped from the border to abroad and disappeared. They say it’s true. At that time there was no social network like it is now.

So in moderation… don’t go crazy
– In your opinion, how does social media affect young people?
– Young people today access smart technology very quickly. Even a child just a few years old has become acquainted with social networks, demanding to see the phone before eating.
From there, it also sets forth an urgent requirement for the management and general orientation of the family and society.
– What message do you give to young artists?
Each person has their own way of using social networks, but should be in moderation, have hours of sleep, do not obsess, become crazy. Turn social media into a useful tool for work.
In the chaos of information online, when receiving, there must be selection, perception and evaluation. You should approach with understanding to improve intelligence as well as awareness, do not be too ignorant will not be good.
