A few years ago, Bouygues Telecom launched offers coupled with television sets at bargain prices. Today the provider replaces the TV by a Microsoft consolela Xbox Series S.
Bouygues Telecom: a new landline offer without a decoder, but with a Samsung television
An entry-level console for 1 €
The offer is classic with the ISP: in exchange for a full-price subscription for two years (€42/month or €51/month), Bouygues Telecom “offers” you an Xbox Series S with a 3-month or 24 months to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The Xbox Series S is a bit of an intermediate console: it offers the novelties of modern consoles (fast CPU, SSD) but with computing power of the level of the previous generation. It is therefore less suitable for 4K screens than the Xbox Series X or the PlayStation, but it is less expensive: 300 € in public price, €266 on sale at Amazon.
For the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it is a subscription that gives access to dozens of games a bit like a Netflix of video games. Bouygues Telecom only charges €1 for a 3-month subscription, and €160 for 24 months, which is still attractive given the monthly price (€13/month).
A calculation to perform
The offer may seem interesting if you need an Xbox Series S. But you have to take into account that the subscription remains quite expensive, since all ISPs regularly offer promotions on the monthly price. In the case of this offer, you will pay full price for 24 months, which can increase the bill over time.
