Fair for agriculture & food: Biohof Thomabauer at the “Green Week” in Berlin

Local agriculture on the international stage: Biohof Thomabauer from Prambachkirchen represents Upper Austria at the “Green Week” in Berlin.

PRAMBACH CHURCH, BERLIN. Around 1,400 exhibitors from 60 countries present themselves at the “Green Week” in Berlin. Among them were Simon and Elisabeth Humer from Biohof Thomabauer in Prambachkirchen and Daniel Hold from “Wüdian” in the Freistadt district. “Participating in the ‘Green Week’ is not only an excellent opportunity to make international contacts and win new customers, but also to be inspired by the variety on offer for new things,” reports Simon Humer.

“Green Week” for food security & climate protection

The Green Week is considered the world’s largest model fair in the field of agriculture, nutrition and horticulture. This year it is all regarding sustainability, food security and climate protection. Nowhere else do you see the contrasts between small-scale agriculture and industrial production as clearly as here in Berlin. “The past few years in particular have shown us that agriculture plays an important role in terms of responsibility for the environment and the entire population. It will therefore be even more important in the future to produce independently, regionally and sustainably,” emphasizes State Councilor for Agriculture Michaela Langer-Weninger.
